Come and visit the most rural part of Tuscany
Casabonsai is located in the middle of the green forested mountains of Lunigiana. This relatively unknown part of Tuscany is richly filled with old villages and olive groves. The area is significant for its Romanesque churches (Pieve), fortified villages (borghi) and medieval castles. Lunigiana owes its name to the Roman city of Luni. Mountain passes through the Apennines and Apuan Alps are developed from the ancient thoroughfares that have been used since prehistoric times by many different peoples (shepherds, merchants, armies, pilgrims). These form an important part of the cultural, historical and natural heart of the area.
We are only 1,6km (15 min walk) to medieval Fivizzano, eateries, shops, pharmacists, weekly market & more. It is just 5km to Fivizzano-Rometta station. There is free (streetside) parking by the apartment. There is a private balcony and garden. And above all, dog(s) are welcome.
